The idea for PLANET SKIN originated in Bali in December 2015, as a response of the No Borders project 4, a project that saw 28 artists from all over the world meeting in one place, exploring through dance, film, qi gong and yoga the concept of borders and barriers between cultures, lands. Each participant interviewed shared some words about their relationship with skin and decided which section of their skin they wonted to have filmed.

Using the skin as a metaphor of border, as a place where the inside meets the outside, as a place where someone ends and someone else’s begins, as a symbol of identity and individuality, PLANET SKIN attempts to find a universal oneness, changing lenses and sense of time, until one rich and ever-changing landscape emerges with its song.

In 2019 a new sound concept was designed for it through a collaboration with Alberto Fiori. 

The concept for this project has strong potential for a community project.
