Playfield

PLAYFIELD was a 2hr performance that created a temporary large-scale geometric pattern on a vacant block of land in Aldinga. A suburban sacred geometry on unused ground.

PLAYFIELD was one of 9 works that formed SUE - Series of Unexpected Events. a creative festival of performance/ installation-based art, curated by Paul Gazzola, in association with OSCA - Open Space Contemporary Arts. Commissioned by the City of Onkaparinga, South Australia from the 13 Oct to the 4 Nov 2017. SUE was supported by The Australia Council for the Arts, The City of Onkaparinga and OSCA.

This project was developed in the land of the Kaurna people.

I would like to acknowledge the First Nations peoples of Australia as the traditional owners of the land.
I respect and acknowledge their spiritual connection as the custodians of their land and that their cultural heritage beliefs are still important for the living people of today. I pay respect to elders, past, present and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded.
